Shah Khan (Late)
Founder
The founder of the company, Group Captain (Rtd.) M. Shah Khan had lived an enviable outdoor life. He was among the first mountaineers in Pakistan and was part of the 1958 joint Pak-British army expedition on Rakaposhi (7788m). Shah Khan belonged to the Royal family of Hunza and was also one of the legendary war heroes of the liberation of Gilgit-Baltistan in 1947-1948.
During his tenure in Pakistan Air Force, he introduced skiing and captive breeding of different species of wild animals at Naltar Valley. These animals included Astore Markhor, Ibex, and Ladakh Urial.
Asif Khan

The CEO of Himalaya Nature Tours, M. Asif Khan, is the son of M. Shah Khan, is an experienced, knowledgeable tour operator and has a vast knowledge of operating treks, tours and expeditions in the Gilgit-Baltistan region. Before joining Himalaya Nature Tours Pakistan in 1990, he worked in Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) as a Tourism officer for more than ten years. He has got training in Tourism Management from the Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management in Austria.
Sher Khan
Managing Partner
Col. (Rtd) M. Sher khan is a Managing Partner of Himalaya Nature Tours. He is a renowned mountaineer of Pakistan who has climbed multiple peaks above 8,000m. Sher Khan has experience with Mt. Everest (8,848m), K-2 (8,611m), Nanga Parbat (8,126m), Gasherbrum-1 (8,080m), Gasherbrum-2 (8,035m), Broad Peak (8,051m) and in 7,000m peaks Rakaposhi(7788m) and Yukshin Gardansar(7550m) in Shimshal. Sher Khan has also been climbing in the Swiss Alps.
Asim Khan
Business Development
Asim khan represents HNT international Business Development team. Based in DC (USA), he is responsible for the online marketing, social media, and PR of the company. Asim is the face of HNT in the Western Hemisphere.
Qasim Khan
Executive Manager
Qasim Khan looks after the Chinese desk of the business and deals with affairs in Islamabad office.
Shahim Khan
Office Manager
Shahim Khan has the makings of a great mountaineer. He is one the youngest from his region to cross Gondogoro La (K-2 Base camp), at the age of 15. He is slowly building up his mountaineering profile.
Michael Beek
Business Partner
Beek Trekking Pakistan
The Himalaya Nature Tours Pakistan is also working with Beek Trekking (http://www.beek-pakistan.de/) from Germany. The owner, Mr. Michael Beek has published three guidebooks on Pakistan, two in German and one in English and also does publicity tours for the promotion of Pakistan in Germany and Switzerland. He came first time with a German expedition led by Karl Herrligkoffer. He is also a famous mountaineer and paragliding instructor. He has a passion for exploring unknown treks in Karakorum and the Himalayas. He is the first tour guide to guide a tour from Shimshal-Muztagh-Askole in 2006, Shimshal-Lup-ke la-Askole in 2012 and has also trekked around the mighty Nanga Parbat.
